Q1) Can you share with us some details about the creation of Starchi and the team behind the Project?
Moon Trips:
I am Angela Brasington, VP of Marketing at Starchi. I have a background in marketing and entrepreneurship and I’ve been working with @StarterXyz and @OfficialStarchi since earlier this year. Starter is the leading launchpad, incubator, and investor network in DeFi. Starchi, incubated by Starter, is a Tamagotchi-inspired play-to-earn game about the power of love and care and bringing humanity back to a positive place. The members of our team had Tamagotchi growing up and we all enjoyed getting to take care of something in a fun and playful way. When compensation is added to that, it provides a layer to this that can change the way people live and work.
We have an amazing team of people bringing this project to life, including a full marketing team as well as a full team of rockstar developers. We are a close knit crew with decades of experience and we’re all very excited to launch Starchi. Our developers have a rich history in both crypto and traditional software development. Our marketing team comes from diverse backgrounds with tons of experience launching startups both in and out of crypto.
The game development is coming along really nicely, our marketing went into high gear a couple weeks ago. We received a grant from the Polygon Foundation last month and closed our seed round, which was oversubscribed by 500%. We then closed our private round and we have a few weeks to go until our early November IDO and MVP.

Q2) Play to Earn Games are becoming a trending topic nowadays and how does Starchi plan to standout among them?
Moon Trips:
Yes, they certainly are. And standing out from all the noise is going to be key. At Starchi, along with the tremendous work that is going into the game to make our characters, gameplay, rewards, and entire experience unique for our players, we have 2 distinct points of differentiation.
The first is our Staking Program. Our staking program will be ready upon launch. Several core Staking Income Pools exist to compensate Collectors for their hard work:
a. Stake START to earn rewards
b. Stake MATIC/START or MATIC/ELIXIR LP to earn rewards
c. Stake in one of two modes: VESTED or LIQUID
- LIQUID — rewards subject to a 2.5% burn & no vesting
- VESTED — rewards are 2x LIQUID & subject to vesting
d. Earned rewards can be claimed as vesting START or as liquid ELIXIR in-game tokens
The second is Exclusive Access to Starter IDOs. Starchi players will have the ability to stake their $ELIXIR earnings to get access to IDOs on @StarterXyz launchpad. Collectors can advance their goal of financial freedom by learning about and participating in Starter IDOs.

Q3) How can we own Starchis? What is their life span?

A lot of thought went into our staking program to make sure our players are properly compensated for their hard work inside the World of Starchi.

That’s something everyone is looking forward to.

Starchi Collectors are responsible for acquiring and nurturing Starchis from infancy to adulthood. They are also responsible for preventing the extinction of Starchi-kind. Collectors earn wages via friendly battles to be amongst the top Collectors in their village. The lifespan of Starchi is what you make of it. We hope that you’ll take great care of your Starchi and grow them to their fullest potential. Here is the low-down on how to do so.
Starchi Collectors acquire Starchis by purchasing them in various stages from the local marketplace, as per below.
1. Freshly-minted Starchi eggs
2. Toddler, teenager, and adult Starchis listed for sale by their collectors
3. Neglected Starchis (those not well taken care of) that are listed for adoption
Starchi Collectors are also responsible for nurturing their Starchi, preventing them from extinction, and preparing them for battle. To prepare for battle, Collectors must do the following:
1. Wake Up
2. Eat
3. Play
4. Sleep
Each Starchi possesses unique attributes and stats indicating its current state. A Starchi can possess one or more elements with a power ratio from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest). Elements dictate attack vectors during battles.
1. Stats include: HP (Hit Points), Energy, Exercise, and Hygiene
2. Elements include: Neutral, Wood, Earth, Water, Fire, Metal, Animal, Poison, Undead, and Lightning
Any Starchi Collector can create a battle arena for a low fee and decide which Starchi from their collection will attend the battle. Winners collect the majority of the fee plus earnings in reward tokens.
1. Any eligible Starchi Collector can join
2. Winners earn 85% of the START token fee plus the in-game rewards token
3. 10% of the remaining START tokens goes to staking income and the last 5% is burned

Q4) Can you share with us the Starchinomics and what role does $START and $ELIXIR have in the Gameplay?
Moon Trips:
Absolutely! First I’ll attach our Starchinomics so everyone can take a look.
Starchi is a dual token economy, which uses Starter’s $START token to access to the game and buy Starchi as well as Starchi’s liquid luck token, $ELIXIR, our magical mix that makes the Collector wealthier for a period of time (while in possession of the elixir), is used for in-game rewards.
The World of Starchi is a Play to Earn economy providing Collectors with wages based on the completion of certain objectives. The tokenomics provides for a Play to Earn allocation of 20,000,000 ELIXIR for in-game rewards.
1. Earn START arena fees & ELIXIR by winning battles
2. Earn ELIXIR in future contests & tournaments
3. Earn START & ELIXIR with staking income
4. Earn ELIXIR by topping leaderboards, such as Most Active Collector, Longest Starchi holder, and more
Lastly, Staking Pools, as mentioned earlier, will compensate Collectors for their hard work raising Starchi.

So $START is an in-game token and $ELIXIR is to reward the collectors,is that right?

$START is used to access the game and buy your Starchi. $ELIXIR is used for in-game rewards.

Q5) What are some of the Future plans for Starchi and could you provide us the Roadmap?
Moon Trips:
We will have our IDO in early November and the MVP live right after. We have more contests lined up as well as some other exciting things but we’ll share them soon — make sure everyone is following @StarchiAnnouncements so you don’t miss out! “Many NFT games today set high costs to start the game and therefore start with a small player base. Does Starchi have an entrance fee or starting conditions & if so, what are they?Do I need to hold an NFT or hold a certain amount of tokens in order to enjoy & play the STARCHI…??” — @SilakYamon

As mentioned in our Tokenomics discussion, Starter’s $START token is used to access the game and buy Starchi and Starchi’s $ELIXIR token is used for in-game rewards. It will not be a high cost to get started as our goal is to change the way people live and work, especially in underserved countries.
Every Starchi is an NFT, so as you acquire them from the marketplace, you will be in ownership of your Starchi NFT(s).

Our plan involves an abundant amount of educational content to help non-crypto gamers understand how to participate and play. We will have tutorial videos and explainers to help all players have a seamless interaction with Starchi. We’ve also done a lot of work to spread awareness in heavy gaming communities, such as Vietnam and Philippines, where gamers are eagerly looking for their next gaming experience. We have also secured strong partnerships to help us market and capture the audiences needed for mass adoption.

Starchi can be viewed on mobile now: starchi.gg. You will need to connect your wallet in order to play and earn rewards.
“In the classic Tamagotchi gameplay, the pet will die if the player did not pet and feed it. Given that Starchi was inspired from this game, will this be also the case for Starchi? Can the pets and characters within the game die from starvation and lack of petting/caring…??” — @0JeanWayne
Moon Trips:
The whole idea behind Starchi is to prevent them from extinction by nurturing them and preparing them for friendly battles. When a Starchi is not properly cared for, they are deemed neglected and will go back to the marketplace for new players to acquire and nurture back to health. So yes, quite similar to the original Tamagotchi in that way.

Most investors only care about immediate benefits rather than the real value of the project in the long-term. How can Your Project convince users invest to your platform in the long-term?
Moon Trips:
One of our main goals is to change the way people live and work. We are here for the long haul and have built out a flourishing ecosystem to enable people all over the world to earn a living while playing Starchi. We have a dual-token economy with a deflationary mechanism built-in through the burning of tokens and finite supply. A deflationary token decreases its market supply as time goes by, reducing the token’s supply on the blockchain, and has the potential to increase the value of a token through the basic rules of supply and demand.
Additionally, Starchi has a Staking Program, strengthening our network and allowing players to be rewarded by staking their $START and $ELIXIR tokens on our platform. This means they are locked from trading, preventing the dumping of the tokens, which would negatively affect the price.

No, we very much want everyone to be able to get involved with Starchi.
